Your day begins with complimentary pick up from your Sedona or Flagstaff Hotel. Your knowledgeable guide will be narrating as we drive through this beautiful, diverse landscape. An informational video is shown giving an overview of the Northern Arizona area

We will stop for a short break before our first stop at the Grand Canyon IMAX Theater. No visit to the Grand Canyon is complete without experiencing the 7-story giant screen presentation of "GRAND CANYON-THE HIDDEN SECRETS". This spectacular film penetrates the innermost depths of Grand Canyon, taking viewers where they could never go, showing them things they could never see all in IMAX reality format. In only 34 minutes, viewers will discover a Grand Canyon that would take a lifetime to experience.

After the movie we head into The Grand Canyon National Park for a great lunch, before stopping at Grand Canyon Village. At Grand Canyon Village you will have free time to explore the historic buildings, visit the gift shop, or walk part of the paved South Rim trail.

 

Then your Great West Adventure Co. guide will take you to the East Rim to a few more great lookouts. As we drive out the East exit we will drive along the Little Colorado River Gorge into the Navajo Nation. Here we will stop at the Historic Cameron Trading Post. You will have the opportunity to browse the Native American artwork and shop for souvenirs. A fun, educational day!

The Maswick Lodge Restaurant:

The Maswick has a casual atmosphere and an extensive menu including salads, pastas, pizza, burgers, hot sandwiches and Mexican Cuisine. There is something for everyone.

The El Tovar Hotel: 

El Tovar opened its doors in 1905. It is a Registered National Historic Landmark. In the past, the hotel has had many famous guests including Theodore Roosevelt, Albert Einstein, Western author Zane Grey, and many others. Today, El Tovar retains its elegant charm. Located on the Canyon's South Rim, it features a fine dining room with delicious entrées such as Blackened Rainbow Trout, Stuffed Pork Chops and Grilled Chicken Breast. They also have wonderful gourmet salads, sandwiches and pastas.

What to wear and Bring:

You should wear comfortable shoes, a hat to keep your head protected from the sun, sunglasses, and sunscreen. It may be cool in the early morning or evening and can get very hot in the afternoons. A light shirt, shorts and a rain jacket are recommended in warmer months. It does rain in Arizona so you may also want to carry an umbrella. Light day packs are great for carrying everything you will need and for filling up with all of the wonderful souvenirs that you will find at the many gift shops. Of course, don't forget your camera with plenty of film.

 

Child Seats: 

We require that all children 4 and younger be in a car seat. You may bring your own or we can provide one for you. If you would like to use one of our car seats please let us know in advance so we can reserve one for you.

We have a wheelchair on the bus at all times. Let us know if you may need it and we will reserve it for you.

Confirmation & Travel Voucher:

This tour must be booked at least 24hrs in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12-24 hours subject to availability. You will receive a confirmation email with a link to your E-Ticket Voucher. Print this voucher on you home/office printer and present SIGNED voucher at departure location. Only one voucher will be created per tour or activity for all travelers.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations must be placed 24 hours prior to event, cancellations within 24 hours are charged a per person $10.00 administrative fee. We charge 100% for No Shows. If the tour is cancelled by the tour operator, you will be refunded.
